We ran a 30-day experiment on one member's LinkedIn

Product manager hat on for a second, because this is a change in how we work as much as it is a new thing on the shelf.

A few weeks ago, myself and the team wanted to find out what it actually takes to get a member their first inbound client from LinkedIn.

A real account, starting cold.

We picked Maxson, an AAA Accelerator member. 20 years old, at university in Canada, running AI projects on the side. Every client he'd signed before the test came from a warm referral.

Nobody had ever found him and reached out.

So we handed his account to Shreya Pattar, our personal branding coach inside the Accelerator, and gave her the password for 30 days. She rewrote the profile, picked the topics, wrote the posts, built the visuals and worked his daily activity with him on weekly calls.

He fed her the raw material: voice notes, client screenshots, photos, Looms, while we documented the whole process top to bottom.

An important learning came back.

Four posts in, his personal story post pulled 10 to 12 times the impressions of the others, which sat around 200.

The obvious read was "write story posts."
The obvious read was wrong.

A case study post written specifically for property managers reached a fraction of that audience and produced the first inbound call of his life. A 50-person property management company in his area read it, went to his website, and booked.

I wanted to share this because some of you are optimising for the wrong thing.

If you're measuring your LinkedIn by impressions right now, stop.

200 impressions in front of exactly the right people beats 2,000 in front of nobody.

Don't optimise for the metric. Optimise for whether the content is aimed at the people you actually want to do business with.

An exciting finding to share, and a direction we're committed to at the AAA Accelerator when it comes to building resources.

Real tests, not hypotheticals.

Nico.

p.s. Alex Hormozi mentioned his 'MoreMozi' channel drives more business than any of his other social channels despite producing the fewest views. Something to think about when you're putting out content this week.
