One of the businesses I'm currently mentoring is Soul Coffee, a specialty coffee shop in Gijón, Spain run by @Manuel Sobrado Gómez — a guy who genuinely cares about the craft and is putting in the work to build something special.
Here's the thing: they took over a space that had previous owners, which left them with some old, negative reviews that don't represent what the shop is today. As we work together on their growth, one of the biggest levers we can pull is their Google presence, specially for this summer.
If you've got 30 seconds, a 5-star Google review mentioning "specialty coffee" would:
- Push them up in local search results
- Help them show up when people search for specialty coffee in the area
- Give a real small business a meaningful boost
You don't need to have visited. You just need to believe in supporting good people doing good work — and I can vouch for Manuel personally.
